SPINAWAY TOPS TODAY’S STAKES

The Grade I $250,000 Spinaway at Saratoga tops today’s graded stakes schedule. The race is the tenth on an eleven-race card and goes at 5:56 pm ET. The eight-horse field is topped by the Todd Pletcher -trained Valiant Passion at 3-1. Saratoga also has the Grade III $100,000 Saranac at nine and one-half furlongs on the turf.

Other graded stakes on today’s menu include the $200,000 Grade III Red Bank Stakes at Monmouth and the Grade II $300,000 Del Mar Derby.

STILES, WOLFSON, JR AND RICHARDS SCORE

David Stiles, Stephen Wolfson, Jr. and Myles Richards nailed the top three spots in Saturday’s HorsePlayer Magazine/XpressBet online tournament. The top three players qualify for the $1 million DRF/NTRA National Handicapping Championship in Las Vegas and Stiles earned $2,500 cash. Second through sixth-place finishers collected $500 each. DIME-A-DAY SARATOGA RACE TIGHTENS

The race for a $5,000 grand prize in XpressBet’s Dime-A-Day Saratoga competition is tight. Mark Streiff collared leader Paul Jannis this weekend and now leads all players with $893 in seasonal mutuel payoff earnings. Jannis is close behind with $83. Bart Fooden is third with $779 and Mark Steiff follows in fourth with his second entry in the tournament.

Nigel Liu topped all players Saturday with a $40.80 payoff. He earned $1,000.

Richard Murray appears headed toward the Dime-A-Day Del Mar title. He has $1,514 in seasonal earnings to Clem Sequeira’s $1,095 and John Vogel’s $1,021. As we all know, strange things can happen at the track and three days of racing at Del Mar is plenty of time for Murray’s challengers to come up with a few juicy longshots. Five players tied for top honors Saturday at Del Mar and they each collected $200.

ILLINOIS RESIDENTS REJOICE!

Great news! The folks running the show in Illinois have revised a regulation that effectively restricted XpressBet from offering wagering on some popular tracks to residents of that state. Act immediately to get down on the final few racing days at Saratoga and Del Mar. Additional tracks, formerly restricted to Illinois residents because of the regulation, also will be open for wagering beginning today on XpressBet.

Of course, during the restriction many of our account holders continued to wager on other tracks with XpressBet and we thank you for your allegiance. Now we’re excited to once again offer you the most complete track and wager menu available anywhere.

Once you log back into your XpressBet account, make sure to sign up for XpressFund—the fastest, easiest and cheapest way to fund your wagering account. Deposits and Withdrawals move seamlessly between XpressBet and your specified bank account without fees.

Good luck at the races this holiday weekend—all of them!

VISA CARDS BLOCKED

Several prominent U.S. financial institutions no longer permit VISA credit card deposits to legal, licensed online wagering sites. This new policy has affected the entire online wagering industry, including XpressBet. As a result, XpressBet account holders will be unable to make deposits to their wagering accounts using VISA credit cards effective Friday, July 9. While XpressBet and other industry organizations will continue to work diligently to rectify this situation, we suggest using an alternate deposit method such as XpressFund.

XpressFund is the fastest, easiest and cheapest way to deposit money to your XpressBet wagering account. XpressFund deposits are transferred directly from your bank account to your XpressBet wagering account without fees.

There are certain deposit amount limits on new XpressFund accounts so we'd like to remind you that XpressBet has several other deposit options Money Order, Wire Transfer, Personal Check, Certified Check or In Person at certain tracks and OTBs.
